Burn Bans are Back

When it does not rain, dry weather takes hold and then we start talking about burn bans. Last year, we never really had to talk about them because of all the rain in the spring and summer months. Now, since it has been dry, one of our counties has been placed under a burn ban, Houston County. So for you folks in Crockett, Kennard, Grapeland, and surrounding communities, it is illegal to burn outside. I am afraid if we don't see any significant rain anytime soon, more counties will be added to the list.
